ICCHP-AAATE invites leading experts to organize Special Thematic Sessions (STS) to present a focussed, detailed and comprehensive view to specifically defined topics of particular interest. STSs therefore welcome both LNCS and Open Access Compendium contributions. This should facilitate a broader view and interdisciplinary and cross-stakeholder discussion/exchange.
STS Chairs advertise the session in their own communities and networks. ICCHP-AAATE announces STSs on its web page and allows contributors to select an STS for their paper(s) during the submission process. Special thematic sessions must be proposed by January 16, 2022.
The Review Committee will evaluate proposals of STSs and negotiate in case of overlapping proposals. The inclusion of an STS in the final program requests a minimum of four accepted papers. Four papers is the minimum for opening a chapter in one of the proceedings. STS Chair(s) are invited to compile and publish an introductory paper to the STS in the proceedings (6 - 8 pages in camera ready LNCS or Open Access Compendium format) . The deadline for the STS introductions is April 3, 2022.
Special Thematic Session on Universal Learning Design
We are proud to cooperate with the Support Centre for Students with Special Needs of Masaryk University Brno, Czech Republic, in organizing once more a Special Thematic Session on Universal Learning Design (ULD), the role model of the STS series. This STS puts particular emphasis on inclusive learning and teaching environments and provides a platform for interdisciplinary discussion. Additionally, the ULD session will include selected contributions submitted to and published in the digital edition of our Open Access Compendium “Assistive Technology, Accessibility & (e)Inclusion”.
